What Do I Think?
The Key Ingredients in this one are Hayluronic Acid – a prevalent humectant found naturally in the skin which attracts and retains moisture to the skin, thus hydrating it and plumping it. Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, a lab created chain protein, stimulates collagen and elastin fibroblasts, helps reduce the appearance of deep and medium wrinkles. And Micro-Molecular Collagen Peptide does much of the same for added anti-ageing benefits.
I originally came by this in way of a travel-sized version, and I wasted no time in purchasing a full-size once I had emptied the mini.
It’s a thirst-quenching drink for your skin which feels lightweight and silky. You can massage it into the skin effortlessly, leaving your complexion looking dewy and fresh. It’s like giving your face a tall glass of water and a shot of youth, all in one luxurious, fast-absorbing formula. As well as the immediate plumping and relief from dehydration and dryness, you can use this safely knowing it’s working behind the scenes to firm the skin and stimulate the collagen we lose as we age.
It somewhat reminds me of the Trinny London Plump Up serum, and I can’t help but wonder if this was her inspiration when creating her own hydrating peptide-based serum, since she was an avid user of the Dr Sebagh products for years. The textures between the two are quite similar – both have clear viscous texture and contain a blend of Hyaluronic Acid and Peptides.
What I really like about this is that it doesn’t sting my skin, even post-shave. Sometimes after you’ve shaved your face, some serums can sting a little, but this isn’t the case here. It’s therefore no surprise that the brand actually recommend it as a post-shave treatment.
Would I recommend?
Yes. If you want a hydrating, plumping, peptide serum and you have the budget, it’s great.
