Having been so impressed with everything I’ve tried from Stratia so far, I’m pleased to report that I loved my experience with their Soft Touch AHA Resurfacing Treatment.
What is it?
A resurfacing treatment for brightening, smoothing and clearing clogged pores.
What Do I Think?
The thing I love most about this is the fact that their AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) of choice is Mandelic Acid. Typically in products like these, the AHA of choice would be Glycolic. Whilst I do love Glycolic as an ingredient, it’s one of the most irritating acids out there, so I love they’ve gone down the Mandelic route which is gentler.
Mandelic Acid helps exfoliate dead skin cells to reveal a brighter, clearer skin. They’ve combined the Mandelic Acid with Chamomile Extract for soothing and reducing redness and irritation. Allantoin has also been added for further soothing and moisturising.
This comes in the form of a transparent, slippery gel serum texture. It absorbs quickly into the skin. You may get a mild tingling when applied, but that’s absolutely normal for something containing an AHA.
After you’ve had it on for 10 minutes or so, your skin feels dramatically smoother and soft to the touch. It’s fantastic at getting rid of those pesky dark spots left from old breakouts. It rids the skin of dead skin cells, leaving your face looking brighter and healthier.
Whilst it is gentle on its own, whenever I use an exfoliating acid, I like to layer it with something barrier strengthening just to avoid any possible irritation. I personally loved using the Lipid Gold moisturiser after using this from the same brand.
Would I recommend?
Yes! If you’re sensitive to stronger exfoliating acids and you want something a bit gentler, but just as effective, then it’s worth a try.

How I Use It
I’d use this in the evening on a night I wasn’t using a retinoid. I’d cleanse, use this and then apply a moisturiser after 10 minutes or so.
