Flânerie positions itself as more than just skincare. Its philosophy is about transforming daily routines into sensory rituals – skincare as an immersive experience, where textures, scents, and efficacy meet to create moments of self-care and calm. It’s an admirable approach, and I’ve been trialling two products from their line up that promise both indulgence and results.

Flânerie Purifying Cleansing Powder Review

This is a finely milled powder cleanser that foams up with water, delivering a deep cleanse. Formulated with kaolin clay and green tea extract, it’s designed to clarify, calm, and soften, particularly for dry and sensitive skin types.

While the concept is clever, I found the formula slightly too purifying for my skin, leaving it feeling a touch parched. It’s not one for my everyday needs, but I can see it working beautifully for those with normal, oilier or combination skin, or for anyone seeking a more thorough cleanse during the summer months. For me, it’s best saved for days when my skin feels congested or in need of a reset.

Flânerie Vivifying Serum Review

This, on the other hand, is a product I’ve truly fallen for. A milky serum aimed at reducing the early signs of ageing, it uses antioxidants to neutralise free radicals while providing hydration and nourishment. The texture is immediately hydrating, absorbing quickly without a hint of stickiness, and leaves skin with a radiant, moisturised finish.

The fragrance is another highlight – a subtle, uplifting blend of lily, orange, rose, and white musk. It feels fresh and invigorating during application, perfect for setting the tone for the day ahead, but it doesn’t linger long enough to become a nuisance.

Flânerie has made an impression with its considered formulations and sensory approach. While the Purifying Cleansing Powder isn’t quite right for me on a daily basis, the Vivifying Serum is already a firm favourite. Together, they reflect a brand ethos that feels indulgent without tipping into excess – a reminder that skincare can, and should, feel like a moment just for you.
