Tom Ford Grey Vetiver Parfum Review

Tom Ford Grey Vetiver

Tom Ford Grey Vetiver Parfum is a fragrance I’d had my eye on for some time. I’d heard pleasing reviews about it and was invested in finding a true grown-up fragrance. Suffice to say, I found it.

Grey Vetiver is warm yet fresh, earthy yet refined fragrance which manages to feel timeless and of the moment. It opens with a crisp, bright burst of orange blossom and grapefruit, offering a clean, citrusy introduction that feels confident without being overpowering.

As it settles, vetiver takes center stage. It’s smoky, woody, and slightly green, and brings an elegant depth that feels both natural and polished. There’s a grounded, almost tactile quality to it – like the scent of sun-warmed earth after rain. Nutmeg and oakmoss add warmth and texture, creating a soft, skin-like finish that lingers beautifully as the day goes on. A hint of creaminess smooths out the rough edges.

Performance-wise, it’s a winner. The projection is moderate – enough to leave an impression without announcing your arrival three rooms away – and the longevity is impressive, evolving gracefully from fresh citrus to warm, woody depths over hours. It’s versatile, too, working equally as well on casual days out, evenings in the city, or at a summer wedding (I wore it to one last year, and it paired impeccably with a grey suit).

For me, it leans masculine, but its smooth, woody warmth would probably be versatile enough to suit anyone who appreciates a well crafted fragrance with character. Tom Ford Grey Vetiver Parfum doesn’t shout for attention – it speaks with quiet confidence, leaving a lasting impression without trying too hard.

It’s a refined, sophisticated scent that balances brightness and warmth with effortless style. It feels grown up without being stuffy.
