What Do I Think?
For someone like me, with drier skin, it wasn’t enough as a standalone moisturise so I adapted it into a serum, layering it under my usual moisturiser. Even then, it performed beautifully.
The ingredient list reads like a cheat sheet for blemish battling brilliance. 10% Azelaic Acid gently exfoliates, soothes inflammation, and reduces the appearance of post-acne marks, while its antibacterial properties help keep new spots at bay. Salicylic Acid encourages cell turnover and unclogs pores, working in tandem with Hyaluronic Acid, which plumps and smooths, leaving the skin hydrated and soft while subtly reducing the appearance of fine lines.
The results speak for themselves. My breakouts have been kept firmly under control, the redness across my cheeks and nose has diminished, and old dark spots are visibly softened. There’s a clarity and overall healthiness to the skin that’s genuinely gratifying.
Texture-wise, it lives up to its name, being a refreshing gel-cream that sinks in quickly, leaving no residue. The scent is barely there, just enough to feel fresh without overpowering. For drier skins, a layering approach works best, but even when paired with another moisturiser, the La Roche Posay Effaclar AZ Gel-Crème Moisturiser continues to perform brilliantly.
