I love a bargain as much as anyone. Dove and Nivea have permanent places in my bathroom, but sometimes you want something that feels special, that makes an everyday thing feel like a proper treat. This one does exactly that.
The texture is sublime. It begins as a rich, silky cream that whips into a soft, velvety lather, cleansing thoroughly without a hint of dryness. Skin feels clean, yes, but never tight or stripped, just comfortably soft and like you’ve already moisturised. That’ll be down to the plum and borage oils, which nourish and smooth, and red algae, which helps the skin retain moisture long after you’ve towelled off. It’s quietly impressive for something that spends so little time on the skin.
But let’s be honest, it’s the fragrance that steals the show. Ambre Vanille is one of those scents that manages to be sweet and warm without veering into sickly sweet cupcake territory.
