PixiFig Eau de Parfum

I’m firmly in my fig era at the moment. Anything vaguely green, milky or fresh and I’m all over it, so when Pixi launched their PixiFig Eau de Parfum, I was genuinely curious to see where they’d take it.

Key Notes

  • Bergamot
  • Fig Leaves
  • Iris

My Thoughts

PixiFig sits in that lovely space between clean and green. There’s a bright citrus lift at the top, followed by those leafy fig notes that give it its character. The iris keeps everything tidy and smooth, so instead of a sharp, overly green scent, you get something softer and wearable. It’s meant to be uplifting and easygoing, and it does exactly that.

Despite Pixi traditionally skewing towards a female audience, this doesn’t read overtly feminine to me. It’s properly unisex, the kind of thing you could borrow back from a partner without either of you feeling like it’s the wrong fit.

To my nose, it sits somewhere between Phlur Father Figure and Byredo Bal D’Afrique. You get the figginess of the former, with the bergamot brightness of the latter, and a creamy edge that makes it a bit more comforting and “cosy skin” than either.

A quick word on the packaging because Pixi have actually thought about it. The bottle has a removable insert that hints at a future refill system, and it makes the whole thing extremely bag-friendly. No fear of glass smashing or lugging around something heavy, this is an easy toss in the handbag perfume.

If fig isn’t your thing, they’ve also launched PixiRose – a rose-and-lemon floral with a touch of jasmine – and PixiMimosa, which is greener and pear-fresh with a soft violet and amber drydown.

Projection

The projection I would say is moderate. It’s not light, but not announcing you from across the room either.

Longevity

Longevity is where you’re reminded this is a £15 fragrance. On me, it’s gone in a few hours, but it’s portable enough that topping up isn’t a drama.

When I would wear it

PixiFig Eau de Parfum works for daytime, evenings, work, weekends… basically one of those fragrances you don’t need to plan around.
