I’m a sucker for a good eye cream and my expectations are simple. I want something moisturising, that will help with a little brightening and tackle fine lines and wrinkles. Beauty Stat Universal C Eye Perfector fits this bill perfectly.

What Do I Think?
This clever little pump actioned tube houses a 5% stabilised Vitamin C formula, combined with peptides and housed in the brand’s proprietary Chem-C™ delivery system. In plain English, that means it’s built to brighten and firm without oxidising within a week of opening the lid. Add in Glabridin for evening out tone, plus optical diffusers to offer a touch of instant gratification, and what you’ve got here is a properly hardworking under eye product.
It tackles puffiness, fine lines, and general crepiness in that shadowy triangle between the tear duct and the cheekbone where tiredness seems to live permanently once you pass 30. It’s deeply hydrating too, but not in that greasy way. On the contrary, it sits comfortably on the skin and wears well throughout the day… as long as you’re smart about what you pair it with.
Which brings me to the one caveat. It’s silicone-based, and while I have zero aversion to silicones (they smooth, they seal, they blur (what’s not to like?)), they can pill when layered with the wrong serum or sunscreen. A bit of experimentation is required. But if you get it right, the result is excellent. A velvety, soft-focus finish that subtly diffuses fine lines and brings light to the area.
It comes out of the tube with a slightly grainy texture which is not unpleasant, just a byproduct of the encapsulated Vitamin C, but it melts in quickly and leaves the skin feeling immediately smoother, more alive.
