😢 Not for me
😍 Kate Somerville HydraKate Power Plumping Primer*
This sits in that useful middle ground between skincare and makeup, with a texture so silky and comfortable that it barely registers as a step. Skin looks measurably plumper and more hydrated, and it doesn’t upset anything layered on top of it.
❤️ L’Oreal Paris Men Expert Hydra Energetic Daily Invisible Fluid SPF50*
Completely weightless, not a trace of grease, no white cast, no clogged pores… just reliable daily sun protection that gets on with the job.
❤️ Trinny London Take Back Time Eye Treatment
I’ve used enough eye creams to fill a recycling bin several times over, and this one might have earnt its place as my favourite. It actually delivers on the things eye creams routinely promise and rarely provide such as brightness, firmness, and genuine moisture.
😍 REN Evercalm Barrier Support Elixir
It’s a genuine shame that REN has closed its doors, because this oil was one of those brilliant products that dry, winter-stressed skin simply drinks up. If you can still find it anywhere, buy it. Immediately.
😢 Augustinus Bader The Serum
It’s pleasant enough to use with its lightweight gel texture that layers obediently under everything else and gives a perfectly acceptable hit of hydration. But at this price point, pleasant and acceptable simply isn’t good enough. I didn’t really notice any change in my skin to warrant the price. The hydration I can replicate with a dozen products at a fraction of the cost.
😍 Merit Great Skin Priming Moisturiser
An excellent do-it-all that earns its place on a crowded shelf. It moisturises, primes, and imparts a genuinely lovely luminosity. If you’re devoted to the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream for its radiance boosting properties, I’d suggest trying this as your next moisturiser.
😍 Sunday Riley Good Genes*
One of those products where the reputation is entirely deserved because it works. Skin is softer, clearer, and noticeably more radiant after consistent use. Apply it in the evening, wake up to better skin.

😍 Kérastase Résistance Strengthening Shampoo
There’s a particular kind of regret that comes from changing from product that was working perfectly well, and I’m currently living it. I moved on to something new and it simply isn’t holding up to comparison. The Kérastase Resistance Shampoo & Conditioner left hair genuinely soft, hydrated, and healthy-looking without any of the heaviness or greasiness that so often comes with richer formulas. I’ve repurchased, and I won’t be making the mistake of straying again any time soon.
😍 Amika The Kure Intense Bond Repair Mask
This is a very good hair mask. Properly hydrating, noticeably reparative, and ten minutes on a Sunday evening leaves hair with that smoothness you’d normally pay a salon quite handsomely for.
