One of my current favourite brands has to be Naturium. Chic, understated packaging, impressive formulations, and prices that don’t make you wince – what’s not to love? Naturally, I was intrigued by the Naturium Vitamin C Super Serum Plus, a product that promises to do it all.
What is it?
A multi-tasking serum which promises to help with a lot of skin concerns. It improves the look of fine lines and wrinkles, smooth and brighten skin and protect against environmental aggressors.
What Do I Think?
At first glance, this serum reads like a skincare greatest hits album: Vitamin C for brightness, Retinol for smoothing fine lines, Hyaluronic Acid for hydration, Niacinamide for balancing, and Salicylic Acid for gentle exfoliation. It’s a multitasker’s dream, designed to tackle everything from dullness to environmental stress in one clever, consolidated step.
The appeal here is simplicity. Gone are the days when we felt the need to layer a dozen serums to achieve good skin. This serum fits seamlessly into a streamlined routine, targeting most of the concerns that creep up as we age, all while being refreshingly fuss-free.
Where it really shines, in my experience, is in its brightening and skin tone evening abilities. Those stubborn post-pimple marks fade noticeably faster, and my skin takes on a luminous, even quality that feels – dare I say it – youthful. While my dry, thirsty skin always appreciates extra hydration, this serum does offer a decent hit of moisture, especially when paired with a hydrating toner.
The only slightly negative I can see to this is that the packaging is quite weighty, and totally opaque, meaning you’re never quite sure how much you have left. Luckily, Naturium have become even more readily available by now being stocked in high-street store Boots, in addition to SpaceNK, so you’re never too far away from a place to repurchase.
Would I recommend?
At £27, it’s hard to argue with the value here. Naturium Vitamin C Super Serum Plus delivers results that rival far pricier counterparts, making it a standout choice for anyone looking to simplify their routine without sacrificing efficacy. A multitasking marvel that more than earns its place in my bathroom cabinet.
