The texture is genuinely lightweight without being thin, it absorbs without fuss, and it works across skin types and seasons in a way that most moisturisers don’t manage. Mine earns its place in both winter and summer, which is not something I can say about many products. It does not overclaim and it delivers consistently, which at this point in my skincare life is what I ask of anything.

The body version, the Ultra Body Mega Moisture Squalane Cream, shares the same foundational ingredients and the same straightforward approach. I am particular about body cream in a way that rules out most of the market. I want hydration without greasiness, absorption without waiting around, and either no scent or a fragrance that does not become irritating after an hour of wearing it. This clears all three bars. It sinks in almost immediately and leaves skin genuinely soft rather than just temporarily coated, with a silky finish that is especially noticeable on the legs. It does what good bodycare should do, which is make you wonder why you weren’t bothering before.
The two work well as a pair, and there is something to be said for a brand that applies the same rigour to the body as it does to the face. More of them should.
