Boots has always been good at affordable skincare, but the Boots Ingredients range has had a nice little upgrade that is worth paying attention to. Fifteen products, all priced at £9 or under, with new packaging and reformulations that bring in some hyped current ingredients. Ectoin, peptides, ceramides and cica extract to name a few.
If you’ve been reading for a while, you’ll probably know I wasn’t a fan of the original iteration. Luckily, I have been testing five of them and came away more impressed than I expected.
🩷 Boots Ingredients Nourishing Milky Cleanser
Combines rice ferment and hyaluronic acid for a gentle, hydrating cleanse that leaves skin clean without feeling disturbed. Suitable for all skin types and exactly what a daily cleanser should be. I like this for a nice easy breazy morning cleanse, or as a second cleanse if I’m in the mood for a double cleanse.

🩷 Boots Ingredients Soothing Toner
This is lightweight and watery, formulated with ectoin, heartleaf and cica extract, giving many of the K-Beauty toners a run for their money. It calms, hydrates and reinforces the moisture barrier without any of the harshness that toners were once known for. Skin feels hydrated and softer afterwards, and ready for the next step in your routine.

🩷 Boots Ingredients Plumping Lip Balm
With peptide based lip balms all the range, Boots have incorporated one into their range. It uses peptides and hyaluronic acid to moisturises and soften lips while improving their appearance over time. It’s super buttery, and great for dry lips.

🩷 Boots Ingredients Hydrating Serum
This features three forms of hyaluronic acid alongside panthenol. It absorbs quickly, plumps visibly and gives an instant radiance boost. Straightforward and effective, and doesn’t cost the earth. What more could you want from a hydrating serum?

🩷 Boots Ingredients Barrier Support Moisturiser
This is the standout for me. Ceramides, 5% shea butter and hyaluronic acid work together to deeply hydrate and strengthen the skin barrier. Rich without being heavy, and skin feels genuinely firmer and smoother with consistent use. I think this is one that a lot of you will love.

This time round, the range feels more considered. The range is currently 20% off until 11th August, which makes it even harder to argue with. I will be picking up the Azelaic Acid Serum and the Deep Moisture Spray next.
