Kate Somerville KateCeuticals Lifting Eye Cream Review

Kate Somerville KateCeuticals Lifting Eye Cream

I’ve said lots of times that the KateCeuticals range is one of my favourite ranges from Kate Somerville . Sure, it’s pricey, but the results make it worth it. The Kate Somerville KateCeuticals Lifting Eye Cream is phenomenal if you have concerns about ageing around the eyes.

What is it?

An eye cream designed to tackle the concerns we have around the eyes as we get older, such as fine lines, dark circles and puffiness/lack of firmness.

What Do I Think?

This contains some cracking ingredients, all of which work together to hydrate, firm, reduce the appearance of fine liens and wrinkles, and brighten the eye area. All of the ingredients, such as Peptides, Brown & Red Algae, Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, Cucumber Extract and Safflower & Sunflower Seed Oils, are incredibly gentle but offer fantastic results.

This would be a good eye cream for you to try if you’re particularly sensitive around the eyes. Its focus on peptides instead of retinol means that it should be a safe bet for most people to use without the worry of irritation.

The texture is a more lotion like texture, but soaks in effortlessly around the eye, providing immediate moisture and relief to dry eyes. There’s an instant brightening effect which helps relieve the look of tired under eyes.

As I used this, I found that over time it had a tightening effect around the eye area. My eyes looked more youthful and puffiness was reduced significantly. Was it as effective as a retinol based eye cream for fine lines and wrinkles? I would say 100% yes.

Though this is pricey, it does last a long time. I find the pump dispenses a bit too much product, and half a pump is sufficient enough to do both eyes. When I use this I take the product around my whole eye area, including my eye lids. It lasted me around 2 months when used twice daily, which is pretty good going for an eye cream.

Would I recommend?

Yes. If you can’t tolerate retinol around the eye area, but you want something ‘anti-ageing’ then this might be worth a try.
