Murad have been on a new product launching spree this year. Their latest, however, isn’t a brand-new creation but a thoughtful rework of an old favourite. Enter the Murad Restorative Hydro-Hyaluronic Cream, a rebranded and reformulated take on their Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisturiser.

What Do I Think?
The original was one of my favourite moisturisers – a lightweight, silky hydrator that rarely put a foot wrong and was loved by pretty much everyone I knew who had tried it. So naturally, I was curious (and a bit cautious) about what Murad had done this time. You still get the lucious lightweight feel of the original but this somehow feels more. More hydrating, more immediate in its effects, more indulgent without straying into heavy territory. It’s a touch “wetter” on application, in the most flattering way, melting into skin with the ease of butter on hot toast.
The formula remains pretty much the same, with just a few tweaks, most notably the removal of Avocado and Olive Oils.
Restorative Hydro-Hyaluronic Cream contains a sleeker lineup of multi-molecular weight hyaluronic acids—low, medium, and high. Together, these allow hydration to penetrate deeper and last longer, working across skin’s layers rather than just parking on the surface. Coconut extract chips in to bolster the skin’s moisture barrier, while shea butter ensures a buttery, soft finish that’s never cloying or greasy.
When a beloved product gets a reformulation, there’s always a hint of dread. Will it lose its magic? But this is Murad at its best: improving a classic while keeping its DNA intact. Rest assured, this is still that crowd-pleasing, universally appealing moisturiser that slots effortlessly into nearly any skincare routine.
Would I recommend?
Yes! Whether you’re oily, dry, sensitive, or just chronically dehydrated, this is one of those rare moisturisers that doesn’t alienate or overwhelm. It’s gentle yet potent, effective without being fussy, and frankly, a bit of a skincare hero.
