I’m slightly behind on this one, having picked it up on holiday last year and only now getting around to writing the review. Better late than never, particularly when the product in question is worth talking about. I really can’t say enough positive things about the Coola Radical Recovery Moisturising Lotion.

A soothing and hydrating body lotion designed for after sun exposure.
What Do I Think?
I am, by habit and conviction, a diligent sunscreen user. I don’t burn if I can possibly help it, and last summer was no exception. But even the most conscientious among us benefits from something restorative after a day spent in strong sun, and this is what the Coola Radical Recovery Lotion is designed for. If you are, however, someone whose sunscreen application is a little more optimistic than thorough and you find yourself pink and tight-skinned by early evening, this is even more worth knowing about.
The base is organic agave and aloe vera, which sets the tone immediately. This is a formula built around calming and restoring rather than anything more complicated. Cedarwood, rosemary extract and lavender bring anti-inflammatory support, while sunflower, mandarin peel and sweet orange oils layer in antioxidant and vitamin-rich nourishment. It applies with a faint cooling sensation that would be genuinely wonderful on sun-stressed skin. It takes a little working in before it absorbs fully, but leaves behind a soft, comfortable, properly hydrated finish.
What I hadn’t anticipated was how much I’d enjoy it as an everyday body moisturiser once I was home and back under British skies. It’s that good. Rich without being heavy, genuinely soothing, and pleasantly scented in a way that doesn’t outstay its welcome. I used every last drop and didn’t remotely begrudge it. Worth picking up before summer, and perhaps keeping hold of well beyond it.
Would I recommend?
Absolutely! Coola Radical Recovery Moisturising Lotion works well as an after-sun body cream and as a general everyday body cream too.
