It is one of the better sunscreens at any price point. That kind of reputation makes you curious about the rest of the range, which is how I ended up buying the Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum. I am glad I did.
What is it?
A eye cream designed to target the look of wrinkles, brighten, and hydrate the eye area.
What Do I Think?
The first thing worth noting is the size. Most eye creams come in 15ml, which sounds reasonable until you are through it in six weeks and reaching for your wallet again. This one is 30ml. Double the product for what is already a sensible price. It is a small thing, but it signals that the brand is thinking about value rather than just margin.
The formula is built around retinal liposomes and ginseng extract, working together to improve firmness and address the fine lines that tend to settle around the eye area first. It also targets brightness and elasticity, which covers most of the concerns people have about the eye area as they get older.
It is non-sticky and sinks in quickly without leaving any residue. That matters more than it might sound, because a tacky eye cream will move around, migrate and generally cause problems with anything applied over it.
I use it at night every other night rather than daily. I am old-fashioned enough to feel uncomfortable applying anything vitamin A based during the day, even with SPF over the top, so I keep it strictly nocturnal. Used this way, I have had no irritation whatsoever, which is notable because retinal-based eye products have caught me out before.
Would I recommend?
The Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum is gentle enough to be reliable and active enough to actually do something. In the eye cream category, that combination is harder to find than it should be. I’d recommend this to anyone who has signs of ageing they are concerned about around the eyes.
