April 2026 Empties
AD - Products marked * were gifted.

A smaller haul than usual this month, but a good one. Everything finished, nothing wasted, and a few genuine surprises in the mix.

❤️ – Repurchased Already
😍 – Would repurchase
😢 – Not for me

Skincare

😍 Garnier Vitamin C Brightening Liquid Care*

The affordable milky toner I didn’t expect to love quite as much as I did. Applied straight after cleansing, it delivers an immediate hit of hydration and leaves the complexion noticeably more even and luminous. At this price, it’s a total win. Would repurchase without hesitation.

😍 Tatcha The Brightening Serum

A full review is coming shortly, but in brief, this is excellent. More to follow.

😍 Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream

Expensive, yes but it is deeply nourishing without any of the heaviness that tends to accompany creams of this richness. Skin feels genuinely cocooned rather than merely coated. A bottle lasts longer than you’d expect.

😍 Dr Sam Bunting Flawless Neutralising Gel*

A brilliant product that does exactly what a product of this type should. It keeps breakouts at bay, reduces redness, and generally makes skin look more like itself on a good day.

😍 Pharmaceris Dermo-Regenerating Soothing Face & Body Cream*

Full review is up (scroll back a post for the details). The short version: if your skin is dry, reactive, or simply in need of something kind, this deserves your attention. One of the better finds of the month.

😍 Kate Somerville +Retinol Firming Eye Cream

Retinol around the eye area is one of those things that sounds like a no-brainer until your skin decides otherwise. The zone is delicate and irritation from retinoids are common. This one gave me no irritation, and the results over the course of the tube were pleasing.

Body Care

😢 Naturium The Energizer Mandelic Acid Body Wash

A competent and likeable body wash that I have no serious complaints about. Mandelic acid in a rinse-off formula is a gentle, sensible approach to body skin texture, and it does its job. That said, Naturium make body washes I reach for with considerably more enthusiasm, and when a repurchase decision comes down to preference rather than performance, preference wins. Not a bad product. Simply not the one I’d choose when there are better options in the same range.

😍 Kiehl’s Ultra Body Mega Moisture Squalane Cream

I have had a post written about this for months and keep failing to get it published, which is entirely my own fault and not the cream’s. The short version is that I loved this. Deeply moisturising, richly textured, and yet somehow it avoids the heavy, slightly unpleasant film that body creams of this weight can leave behind. It absorbs properly, leaves skin soft, and does exactly what a good body cream should do without requiring you to stand very still for ten minutes waiting for it to sink in. Post coming shortly. Watch this space.

😍 Murad Resurfacing Body Pads

Genuinely excellent, and one of those products I find myself recommending to anyone who mentions KP in my presence. The combination of exfoliating acids on a pre-soaked pad format makes the whole process effortless and the results on the tops of my arms were noticeable within a couple of weeks of consistent use.
