Keratosis Pilaris, those pesky little bumps on the backs of arms, is one of those skin gripes that’s easy to ignore until summer rolls around and suddenly you’re conscious of every top you own. I’ve tried most of the usual suspects over the years, with varying success, so I was intrigued by Remedy for Body Bumps cream, which promises to smooth, exfoliate and generally improve texture and tone.
What is it?
Remedy for Body Bumps is a body lotion designed to help improve keratosis pilaris, skin texture, and redness or discoloration.
What Do I Think?
On paper, it’s got an impressive ingredients list. You get 0.1% encapsulated retinol for cell turnover and dark spots, 10% urea to hydrate and soften, 5% lactic acid for gentle exfoliation, and barrier restoring ceramides to keep everything calm and balanced.
Essentially, it ticks every box you’d want from a treatment cream aimed at KP, or even as a general use body cream.
Happily, it largely delivers. The cream is silky, easy to massage in and works beautifully on those stubborn bumps. Mine personally looked and felt noticeably better within weeks.
The only caveat is the finish. It leaves a slight layer on the skin, not greasy exactly but certainly present, which may not be everyone’s idea of comfort on a humid night. There’s no real scent beyond the faint tang of lactic acid, and the pump packaging is a big win – practical, quick, and hygienic.
Would I recommend?
Would I swap it for my beloved Ameliorate Transforming Body Lotion (read my review here)? Probably not. That one still edges it for me, despite its rather odd smell, purely because it absorbs more elegantly. But this is a genuinely effective option if KP is driving you mad, and one I’d happily use up.
