If there’s one brand I trust to nail retinol, and to do so brilliantly, it’s Murad. The Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Eye Serum is no exception. Having used it in the past with fantastic results, I’m pleased to report it still delivers, even after years of advancing my own retinoid journey.

Murad’s Retinol range has long been a go-to recommendation of mine. It’s powerful, effective, and consistently delivers visible results, yet somehow remains gentle enough for even sensitive skin types. That balance between efficacy and tolerance is no easy feat, but Murad seems to have it down to a science.
As always, the formula impresses. At its core is a Retinol Tri-Active Blend, targeting fine lines and wrinkles with precision. Added Cotton Wool Grass Extract provides deep hydration for up to 24 hours, while Marine Kelp Complex lifts and energises the eye area. What sets this serum apart, though, is that it’s safe for use all around the eyes, including the lids – a rarity among retinol-based eye products.
The idea of applying skincare actives to the delicate lid area might raise a few eyebrows, but this formula handles it beautifully. Unlike standard serums, which aren’t typically designed for such sensitive zones and can lead to irritation, this is specifically formulated to deliver without discomfort. For someone like me, whose eyes and upper cheeks are irritation-prone, that’s a game-changer.
