I have been using Kate Somerville products for long enough that several of them have become the fixtures in my routine and frequently appears in my empties posts. The Kate Somerville EradiKate line in particular has earned a devoted following for good reason.
The range is built around blemish-prone skin, which immediately puts some people off engaging with it if that is not their primary concern. That would be a mistake, because two products in particular are useful well beyond their obvious target audience.
🩷 Kate Somerville EradiKate Daily Foaming Cleanser
The EradiKate Daily Foaming Cleanser is powered by 3% sulphur, which has been used in acne treatment for long enough that it predates most of the actives currently being celebrated. Sulphur draws out impurities, absorbs excess oil and is notably effective on sebaceous filaments and blackheads, which are among the most common skin complaints regardless of skin type. What surprised me most when I first used it was how non-drying it is. Cleansers formulated for breakout-prone skin have a long history of leaving the face feeling scoured and resentful, and this does not. I gave a bottle to a friend who had been struggling with her skin for months and she noticed such a difference in her skin, which is the highest possible endorsement.

🩷 Kate Somerville EradiKate 10% Sulfur Blemish Treatment
For those whose relationship with blemishes is more occasional, the EradiKate Blemish Treatment is the product to keep in a drawer for emergencies. You apply the pink sediment from the bottom of the bottle to the affected area using a clean cotton swab, leave it to dry, and let it get on with reducing the spot and taking down the redness. It works best at the very first sign of a pimple, or when you sense one forming underneath the skin before it has properly arrived.

It’s a range well worth checking out if breakouts are your concern.
