What Do I Think?
It behaves and feels like a luxurious luminising serum, yet delivers a punchy SPF50+. The texture is utterly beautiful. Thin, silky, and light. It glides over the skin like a fluid highlighter, bringing glow and bounce.
Let’s be clear though, this isn’t for the lovers of matte skin. Ultra Violette Queen Screen is unapologetically dewy. It’s designed for those of us who know the pain of dull skin and long for something that makes us look vaguely alive by 9am. It’s loaded with hydration and radiance, and gives the kind of finish that lets you skip the highlighter altogether. On oilier skin types, it may verge on too much, on drier complexions like mine, it’s practically perfect.
Application is refreshingly straightforward. The brand recommends three full droppers to adequately cover the face and neck, which is helpful in a world where SPF instructions are often vague. And despite this quantity, it never feels like your face is struggling under layers of product, which is a godsend in summer when everything else is melting by midday.
Layering is a breeze. You can apply it over serums, under moisturiser, or on bare skin, and it plays well with makeup too, acting a bit like a glowy primer. It doesn’t pill, and never leaves a white cast.
Would I recommend?
Yes, it’s pricey. No, it doesn’t replace your moisturiser (unless you’re oily-skinned then it could). But if it’s the product that finally gets you to wear a high-factor sunscreen daily and to enjoy doing so then frankly, it’s worth every single penny.
