We’re now in the full throws of summer with endless heatwaves (anyone else missing the rain a little bit?). Here’s what I’ve been using over the summer months to keep my body skin looking smooth, hydrated and ready to be exposed.
☀️ Naturium The Glow-Getter Multi-Oil Body Wash.
One I keep returning to regardless of what else I try. It is a gel that contains oil, which means it hydrates as it cleans. In summer this is particularly useful because it removes the need for body cream afterwards. For anyone who cannot face applying lotion in the heat, this is the solution.
☀️ Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Resurfacing Body Scrub
Combines physical, chemical and enzymatic exfoliation to shift dead skin from dry areas like shins, knees and elbows. It is also excellent for prepping skin before fake tan, and equally good at removing it when the time comes. A genuinely hardworking product and so easy to use.
☀️ Mixa Urea Cica Repair*
I’ve been reaching for this for specific areas that are particularly dry. It works well on heels, knees and elbows, and is one of the better products I have found for keratosis pilaris, those small red bumps that appear on the upper arms and legs and refuse to respond to most things.
☀️ Erborian CC Body Tinted Body Moisturiser
This is for those days when fake tan feels like more effort than it is worth. It is a wash-off tinted moisturiser that delivers an instant bronzed effect with no planning, no waiting, no streaks and no patches. It covers veins, bruises and minor imperfections well. Apply before you leave the house and wash it off in the shower. Simple, effective and considerably less stressful than a tanning mitt at eleven at night.
